  1. I prefer this one over the member show one. I love the simplicity and the different skin colours.

  2. Hmmm ... you tend to like the paintings that I think are unfinished ...

  3. This could mean that I'm wrecking the spontaneity of my paintings by finishing them. Wouldn't be the first time ...

  4. You know I just realized I have often liked someone's painting more before they finished it lol! But in this case I also like having just the nude/shape. It's framed nicely by the negative space.

I wanted to ask you since you are at PAFA, what you thought of the crashing plane in the street made into park. It's creepy if you ask me. I can't imagine eating lunch next to that or finding a quite moment. But then I'm not edgy. I don't get even the big paint brush that also looks like it's crashing . Is that what passes for "whimsical "

  5. The funny thing about the big paint brush is that it's accompanied by a squidge of paint that looks like it was excreted by a paintbox dinosaur.

The airplane doesn't do a thing for me. They put plants inside that have to be replaced every so often after they die. Meh. I don't get it.

Both objects I think are a case of art pissing on art to be "relevant" in a collapsing society...unless that's too high falootin a reason.

I wish the plane left me cold...but it makes me ill if I look too long, which is perhaps the point.

If they left the space alone, with the beautiful bench, it would be vastly better imo. Dying plants, how fitting.

Another interesting thing about the two nudes....we have discussed how people feel uncomfortable about placing nudes in thier home. I believe an unfinished one would ease that and be more easy sold. The deliberate, the finished, in such things forces one to deal with what makes people uncomfortable...the unfinished nude, draws the curtain a bit. imo.

  7. I'd like to see some real greenery in that space. How about some small trees in planting boxes?
