Completed Still Life

I hope to get better photos when we have decent weather!

  1. WOW! Marvelous! The finishing touches add so much. Love the deep pink blocks on top and all the reflected light work there...all the faces are great too . the lamb / shell level really pop out from the background...love the glow

  2. Thanks, Anne! Some of the blocks, and all three of the upturned glasses, started out as deep red, but I found the color was jumping out of the picture. The glasses were so intensely colored that they crowded out the shell. That's why I changed the colors to pink and orange, respectively. It's interesting to me that you've seen the painting at many stages, and the color change didn't bother you! That's a good sign, I think.

  3. Oh dear, I can't say even I noticed the change, but I highly approve of the change from what I see here! The yellow glasses create another "window" so to speak . You have created so many 3-D levels on a flat, 2-D plain! I feel I can step in!
